Contribution and Privacy Rules


 

 

When you register as a contributor to the site you will be asked for your name and contact information. All contributor registrations will be considered for approval by the site managers. We may use your contact details for sending updates about the Ranger History project, but they will not be shared further. Contact history@tongariro.org.nz if you no longer want to remain a contributor and/or to receive updates.

 

If you discover information about you on the site with which you are uncomfortable, please contact history@tongariro.org.nz. We will remove it.

 

When uploading content it is your responsibility to ensure that:

  1. The content you contribute does not infringe another's rights – you own it or have permission to use it.
  2. You comply with New Zealand Copyright Law.
  3. You do not make any defamatory statements about another person.
  4. If your contribution is considered taonga or connects to Māori, you consider its cultural and ethical context. This includes obtaining the appropriate permissions.
  5. You do not post any contributions that contain sensitive, objectionable, obscene, offensive, or disturbing material, or that could be considered “harmful” under the New Zealand Harmful Digital Communications Act 2015.

 

All contributions are moderated and you will receive advice when they are accepted or not. You may be asked to provide additional information before acceptance.
