SubjectNational Parks Act 1952Description The National Parks Act 1952 guided the establishment of the National Parks Authority which provided guidance and policy to the Park Boards which oversaw individual national and maritime parks. In 1990 the National Parks Authority and park boards were abolished when the Conservation Act 1987 established the replacement New Zealand Conservation Authority and local conservation boards.
