I was on the way to inspect a memorial to Hubert Girdlestone that had been installed at the top of Girdlestone Peak. The Tongariro Park Board had a fund of £40 to maintain it. I was on the way to inspect a memorial to Hubert Girdlestone that had been installed at the top of Girdlestone Peak. The Tongariro Park Board had a fund of £40 to maintain it.
