DescriptionErecting VHF radio mast at Mt Alexander in Arthur's Pass National Park c1980. The site was inaccessible in snow and only lasted one season. It was then shifted to the Kelly Range. It was necessary to adjust the Goat Pass Hut aerial to work with the new site. Ian Blackmore liked the Alexander site since he could talk to Christchurch from a vehicle in Arthur's Pass.
