DescriptionThe control centre at Ski Patrol HQ Whakapapa Ski Field. Two items are notable in this picture. The 'classic' telephone switch board which was, until 1974, the mainstay of ski field communications and the walkytalky radio handset which enabled patrollers to range beyond Hut Flat.
